Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the FastSpeech applications, the website fast-speech.com and all related services (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Niyazi Nihat, Christrosenweg 6, 51143 Köln, Germany (“we”, “us”). Our full contact details are in the legal notice.
1. What FastSpeech does
FastSpeech turns speech into written text: you hold a key, speak, and the app types clean, punctuated text into whatever application you are using. Transcription and formatting run on our servers, the audio you dictate is transmitted, processed and returned to your device as text. How that data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
- Using the Service requires an account. You can create one with an e-mail address and a password, or through Google sign-in.
- Please provide accurate information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- An account is for one person. Sharing credentials with others is not permitted.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have your guardian’s consent.
3. Plans and how a contract comes about
- The Free plan includes a weekly word allowance and costs nothing.
- Lite and Pro are paid monthly subscriptions. Their scope and current prices are shown on the pricing page.
- Selecting a paid plan takes you to our payment provider Stripe. A contract is concluded when your payment is confirmed; you then receive a confirmation by e-mail.
- All prices are total prices in euros: they include any statutory VAT, and nothing is added at checkout.
4. Payment, term and cancellation
- Subscriptions run for the period you choose, one month or one year. They renew automatically for a further period of the same length unless cancelled before the end of the current one.
- Payment is due in advance at the start of each period and is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- You can cancel at any time in your account. Your plan then stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for and is not renewed. We do not refund partial periods.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is made.
- Consumers additionally have a statutory right of withdrawal; it is set out in section 5 below. To end a running subscription instead, use Cancel contract.
5. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period starts on the day the contract was concluded. To withdraw, send us a clear statement at the address in our legal notice. A letter or an e-mail is enough. Sending it before the period expires is enough to meet the deadline.
Effects. If you withdraw, we reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after your notice reaches us, using the same means of payment you used. You are charged no fee for this.
Immediate start. FastSpeech is a digital service that begins right after purchase. At checkout you are asked to expressly request that we begin before the withdrawal period ends and to acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once we have fully performed. Where we have performed only in part, you owe a proportionate amount for what you used and the rest is refunded.

6. Price changes
We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you at least 30 days in advance by e-mail. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect. Changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
7. Fair use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully, or to record people without the consent required where you are;
- disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
- resell the Service, share your account, or work around plan limits or usage measurement;
- use the Service to produce content that is illegal or that infringes the rights of others.
Every plan has a weekly word allowance; it is shown on the pricing page and in the app, where you can see what you have used. Plans are meant for normal personal use. If usage is so far beyond that it looks automated, we may contact you and, if it continues, limit throughput.
8. Your content
Everything you dictate stays yours. We process your audio and the resulting text only to provide the Service and claim no rights to it. We do not use your dictations to train AI models.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service, its software, design and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the apps for their intended purpose for as long as your account exists.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability; maintenance, faults and issues at our providers can interrupt it. We may improve or change features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give paying customers reasonable notice and refund any period paid for but no longer usable.
11. Updates
The apps keep themselves up to date automatically so that everyone runs a current, secure version. Updates may add, change or remove features.
12. Termination by us
We may terminate or suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. If we terminate without good cause, we refund the unused part of the current period.
13. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law provides. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaching an essential contractual duty, one whose fulfilment makes proper performance possible in the first place and on which you may reasonably rely, and then only for damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract.
Transcription and formatting are produced automatically and can contain errors. Please read important text before you rely on, send or sign it.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will announce material changes at least 30 days in advance in the app or by e-mail. If you do not object before they take effect, the updated Terms apply; you can cancel at any time instead.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. If you are a business, the place of jurisdiction is Cologne, Germany.
16. Final provisions
If a provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, the rest remains in force. There are no side agreements outside these Terms.
